The work

Real roofs. Real installs. Real numbers.

From farm conversions to industrial sites. Our own crew on every job.

01 / The Maths

Two numbers. One obvious answer.

Grid average
30p
per kWh / volatile / rising
Up roughly 60% in three years. Tied to wholesale gas. Forecast to keep climbing as the grid upgrades for renewables.
Our rate
20p
per kWh / fixed / 25 years
Locked in writing on day one. No index-linking, no surprise resets. The rate on signing is the rate in year 25.
Worked example
A commercial site using 100,000 kWh a year
On the grid
£30,000
With us
£20,000
You save
£10,000 /yr

That's £250,000 over the 25-year contract. Indicative. We size your system properly during the survey, on your roof, your usage, your shift patterns.

You start buying solar from us at 20p the moment the system is live. We monitor and maintain it for 25 years.

03 / Who we are

A family construction firm. Now on solar.

We're Rhys and Alice Jackson. Jackson & Lacey is our family name and for ten years we've been building homes and commercial buildings from farm conversions to industrial sites. In recent years, solar installation has been a standard feature on our builds, we now want you to experience the same benefits.

We have our own team. No subcontractors. No middlemen. No inflated quotes.

That's why our maths works where the big installers' doesn't. Lower install cost, lower running cost, savings passed to you.

04 / What people ask

The "what's the catch" section.

So what's actually the catch?+

You agree to buy your electricity from us at 20p/kWh for 25 years. That's the deal. If grid prices crashed below 20p and stayed there for two decades, we'd be the more expensive option. We don't think that's going to happen, and the contract is short enough that you can see the full economics for yourself.

Who owns the panels?+

We do, for the 25-year term. After that they're yours, no transfer fee, and you get free electricity for the remaining life of the panels (typically another 10 to 15 years). That's how we can fund the install upfront and pass the savings on, rather than charging you £40k to own the system on day one.

What if I sell the building?+

The contract transfers to the new owner with the property. We work directly with both solicitors. Most buyers see discount-rate electricity as an asset, not a liability.

I lease the building. Does this still work?+

Yes. We use a three-party contract between us, you, and your freeholder. The freeholder gets a roof improvement at no cost. You get the savings. We handle the conversation.

What if you go bust?+

The panels stay on your roof. You keep the system and the savings. No contingent liability. Worth reading clause four of the contract before signing, but the short answer is you're protected.

How long does the install take?+

Most commercial jobs are commissioned in two to four weeks. We work around your operations. If you can't shut down, we don't shut you down.

Do you do EV charging too?+

Yes. Same model. We install, fund and run the chargers. You pay a fixed rate for the electricity. Works well alongside solar because you're charging fleets with cheaper power you're already generating.

What size building do you need?+

Roughly 500m² of clear, mostly south-facing roof and up. Smaller works too, the maths just shifts. We'll tell you straight in the survey whether your roof is worth doing.

Tell us about your roof.

We'll come and look at it. Free, no obligation, no sales theatre. If the maths works for your building, you'll have a written proposal within five working days.
